Hi, I’m Alison Pickel and I’m an authorised marriage celebrant. But I’m not your “mum’s friend” kind of celebrant. Rather, I’m a straight-talking, food-obsessed, Buffy fangirl who believes that making a decision to stick with your chosen person for life is pretty damn cool.

I’m not going to bang on for ages about how sacred and precious marriage is or what your wedding *should* be. Instead, I want to co-create a ceremony with you that celebrates the special brand of awesome that is unique to the two of you.

Alison was super easy to work with. We loved that she was genuinely interested in us and took the time to get to know us as a couple. We felt that this really allowed her to create a ceremony that was truly bespoke and special to us. Alison even addressed our German guests in German to make them feel welcome and included (she cracked a joke and the Germans laughed... what more is there to say?). We couldn't have chosen a better celebrant.

Alison's professionalism, friendliness and help during a stressful time was so amazing. She assisted us with all the legal requirements all while helping us build the ceremony we wanted. The day ran so smoothly and Alison delivered the ceremony with such grace and humour! From start to finish, my dealings with Alison were enjoyable. She made herself available if I had any questions and the detail and care she takes is shown though her work.

We wouldn't have had anyone else as our celebrant. You put so much effort in to writing our wedding script and made sure we were happy. I didn't realise how much detail went in to organising a ceremony until you presented us with all the possibilities. You made our ceremony feel intimate and we felt so at ease with you in control. We loved your bubbly personality shining through into our ceremony. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alison for your wedding celebrant. 10/10!!!

It was such a pleasure to attend Nic and Jess’s wedding. Alison created a welcoming, fun and intimate vibe. The ceremony was truly tailored to who Nic and Jess are, both as individuals and as a couple. I loved the unique wine box aspect to their ceremony. Alison the Celebrant made this one of the most enjoyable weddings I’ve ever attended.

Alison was helpful in preparing us for our wedding. She offered suggestions and provided insight into many different scenarios for the day. It all came together really well and we were very pleased to have her as our marriage celebrant. She added a little piece of her fun-loving self to the day and that made it really special to us!
